The
Press Box Rob Adams Bio Rob Adams is the Sports Director for WGCH (Stamford/Norwalk, CT - the flagship station of the Business TalkRadio Network® and Lifestyle TalkRadio Network®). Starting as a DJ at Majic 105 in Patterson, NY in 1990, Rob immediately combined his passions for music and sports into a top-rated overnight program, and served as the stations weekend sports anchor. These same skills were used at WREF in Ridgefield, CT where Rob showed his smarts for the business of radio and sports. Rob joined WGCH in 1997 and has been there ever since – hosting multiple shows dedicated to sports (including “Spotlight on Sports with Rob Adams”, “Coach's Corner”, and the nationally-known “Tee Time” with Michael Breed) and had his own general talk show. Rob has served as the voice of the Greenwich High School Cardinals in football, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, and lacrosse since 1998. He has also called many other games for high schools, prep schools, and professional teams, including baseballs Bridgeport Bluefish and Hudson Valley Renegades. Rob and his son Sean live in New York state with their cat Fred. Show Description The Press Box, hosted by Rob Adams lets the sports fan be heard! Focusing on a wide variety of sports issues, The Press Box covers the topics of the day, the major sports news, and the minor things as well. High school sports, the minor leagues, and the lighter sides of sports are fair game as well. |
